Ali is now a third year graduate student in Brown University CLPS Department. He received his BA in Psychology from Istanbul Bilgi University in Turkey in 2008 along with a degree in sound technology. He decided Providence will be his new home after working as a research coordinator in a neuropsychiatry hospital in Turkey for a year, mainly working with neurological patient populations. His current work involves using electrophysiological methods to understand the brain mechanisms for object recognition. Currently he is a member of the administrative board of Turkish Society for Neuropsychology. He also plays woodwinds from time to time and has a keen interest in sound synthesis and all things computational.
