Lab Members
Dr. Sven Eberhardt is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Serre Lab. He received a PhD in computer science from the University of Bremen, Germany, working on computational neuroscience and computer vision applied to spatial cognition.
Dr. Eberhardt joined the lab in 2015. His current research focuses on machine learning, particularly deep learning applied to applied computer vision tasks. In parallel, he seeks to understand the mechanisms of human decisions and human learning paradigms, and integrate them into computer vision pipelines to push the state-of-the art in performance.
He manages current projects including animal behavioural tracking, incorporating 3D-shape information into deep network training for object recognition, and creating more biologically realistic computer vision systems. He also supervises critical lab infrastructure and leads technical interviews with prospective researchers in the lab.
See his research profile for more project details and publications.
